United Dog Lovers Family, Inc. ("UDLFI", "we", "us") collects and uses personal information in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) of the Republic of the Philippines.

This is a working draft. It describes what the website currently does. It has not been reviewed by counsel, and the association should have it checked before relying on it. Sections marked pending describe practices that are not yet finalised.

What we collect

When you apply for membership. Your name, email address, and optionally your mobile number, barangay, and city; the areas you would like to help with; whether you care for dogs; and what you write in the application itself.

When you contact us. Your name, email address, and the content of your message.

When you visit the site. Standard server request data. The site uses no analytics or advertising cookies by default. A cookie stores your language and appearance preferences only.

We do not collect payment information through this website.

Why we collect it

  • To assess your membership application against the qualifications in Article V of our by-laws
  • To contact you about your application, and about activities in your area
  • To maintain the members register kept by the Secretary, as the by-laws require
  • To answer your enquiries

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Who can see it

Membership applications are reviewed by the Board of Trustees and the officers responsible for membership processing. Access is limited to those people.

Our website and database are hosted by a third-party infrastructure provider on our behalf. That provider processes data only as needed to run the service.

How long we keep it

Membership applications are retained for as long as you are a member, and for a reasonable period afterwards for the association's records. Unsuccessful applications are retained only as long as needed to explain the decision.

Contact messages are retained only as long as needed to deal with the enquiry.

Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act you have the right to be informed, to object, to access, to correct, to erasure or blocking, to damages, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.

Photographs

We publish photographs of association activities. If you appear in a photograph on this site and would like it removed, tell us and we will remove it — you do not need to give a reason.

We publish photographs of members' dogs, including on the SupaWheroes honour roll, only with the owner's permission.

Children

This website is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Minors may take part in association activities with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian.

Data Protection Officer

Pending. The association will designate a Data Protection Officer and publish their contact details here.

We will update this page when our practices change, and the date below will change with it.
